Location
Tullah TimeOut is located in what the locals call 'New Tullah', and Tullah HideAway is located in 'Old Tullah'.
Located on the edge of Lake Rosebery, Tullah was originally a small mining town that was later extended in the 1970s to accommodate workers on the Hydro Electric Power Scheme.
Today, this town with two histories is a relaxed lakeside village in a scenic and remote setting among the forested slopes of Mount Farrell and Mount Murchison.
Tullah is a quiet and friendly town with curious shops and quirky attractions. There's a teddy bear house museum and the Wee Georgie Wood Steam Railway that once transported pioneers into Tullah - the only mechanical access to the town up until the 1960s. You can take a 25 minute ride (1.5 km) – right in the centre of town.
